Welcome to Crown Street Primary

We understand that starting school is a significant moment for you and your family. We will do everything we can to ensure your child gets off to a flying start with us.

We take our responsibility for your child’s personal and academic development seriously. We value strong home-school links and recognise the positive difference they make to a child’s happiness and success.

Before starting with us, we will be holding an induction event in the Summer term for our parents and carers ahead of your child starting Reception in September.

Crown Street Primary School opened its doors in September 2024 as part of the Laurus Trust.

The Laurus Trust Vision is: “For everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, to be inspired, to thrive in all environments, to recognise what it takes to succeed, to set aspirational goals and to work hard to achieve them.”

Across our Laurus Trust Primary Schools we will do whatever it takes to ensure that all pupils benefit from a curriculum that goes well beyond statutory requirements and equips them to make a positive contribution to their local and global community, now and in the future.

This is integral to our school ethos of ‘providing education on another level, where possibilities are endless’ and allows us to further enhance the exciting and engaging learning opportunities that our pupils enjoy every day.

As a Trust, we understand the vital importance of an outstanding Early Years experience in making sure that every pupil gets off to a flying start. We treat every child as an individual and we provide just the right amount of challenge and support for them to develop their potential. Happy children make the best learners and so we place the personal development of all our pupils at the centre of everything we do.
